Imagine living through the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD that buried Pompeii in ash – way scarier than any horror movie! The Great Flood from ancient myths, like Noah’s Ark, would have been a terrifying sight with water everywhere. The Bronze Age collapse around 1200 BC saw entire civilizations fall apart, causing chaos and fear. The volcanic eruption in Santorini around 1600 BC devastated the Minoan civilization and sent shockwaves through the region. And let's not forget about the tsunami that hit the Minoan civilization around the same time, wiping out entire cities in a flash. #brightside Animation is created by Bright Side. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com Check our Bright Side podcast on Spotify and leave a positive review! https://open.spotify.com/show/0hUkPxD34jRLrMrJux4VxV Subscribe to Bright Side: https://goo.gl/rQTJZz ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/brightside Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/brightside.official TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@brightside.official?lang=en Stock materials (photos, footages and other): https://www.depositphotos.com https://www.shutterstock.com https://www.eastnews.ru ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.brightside.me

Venus, Earth's closest sibling, used to have oceans and lakes like Earth, but now it's a super hot and pressurized place. The main reason for this is that Venus is closer to the sun, getting more energy which made its atmosphere much harsher over billions of years. Unlike Earth, Mars lost its early atmosphere because its smaller size couldn't hold onto it, especially after volcanic activity slowed and stopped. Venus, being so close to the sun, had its oceans boil away, and volcanoes kept pumping out carbon dioxide, a strong greenhouse gas. Earth's oceans help control carbon dioxide by absorbing it and turning it into rock, which is why it's so important to protect them. Around 800,000 to 900,000 years ago, a genetic bottleneck occurred, drastically reducing the human population. This event led to the extinction of 98.7% of the population, leaving only about 1,280 individuals. The main cause was a significant climate shift called the middle Pleistocene transition, which brought longer and harsher glacial cycles. This change made it difficult for early humans to hunt, forcing them to adapt while some animals went extinct. Scientists are still studying the exact cause and timing of this bottleneck. Imagine living through one of the most massive volcanic eruptions in history—Toba’s supereruption, about 74,000 years ago, was exactly that. For our ancient relatives, it was like the world turned upside down, with ash blanketing the sky and temperatures plummeting. The eruption created a "volcanic winter" that likely made food scarce and survival incredibly tough. Some scientists believe this event may have even pushed our ancestors to the brink of extinction. But those who survived became more resilient, adapting to the harsh conditions. It was a true test of endurance, shaping the course of human evolution. Credit: Mount Agung: By Michael W. A new discovery in Egypt’s pyramids has left experts rethinking everything they thought they knew. Scientists recently found hidden chambers deep inside the Great Pyramid of Giza using advanced scanning technology. These rooms have never been explored and could reveal secrets about how the pyramid was built or what it was used for. The discovery is exciting because it opens up the possibility of new treasures or historical clues hidden within Egypt's most famous monument. Researchers are now planning how to carefully explore these chambers without damaging the ancient structure. This discovery could completely change our understanding of ancient Egypt! #brightside Credit: Kairo Museum Statuette Cheops: By Olaf Tausch, CC BY 3.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=90619671 Animation is created by Bright Side. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Music from TheSoul Sound: https://thesoul-sound.com/ Check our Bright Side podcast on Spotify and leave a positive review! https://open.spotify.com/show/0hUkPxD34jRLrMrJux4VxV Subscribe to Bright Side: https://goo.gl/rQTJZz ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/brightside Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/brightside.official TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@brightside.official?lang=en Stock materials (photos, footages and other): https://www.depositphotos.com https://www.shutterstock.com https://www.eastnews.ru ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.brightside.me ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This video is made for entertainment purposes. Scientists recently found something eerie at the bottom of the Red Sea: "death pools" with no oxygen. Any animal that swims into these pools is immediately stunned and dies, making it easy prey for nearby predators. These deadly waters are also home to special microbes that can survive in such extreme conditions. By studying these pools, scientists hope to learn more about how life began on Earth. They’re also curious about what this could mean for discovering life on other planets with harsh environments. It's a chilling, yet fascinating discovery! #brightside Animation is created by Bright Side. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Music from TheSoul Sound: https://thesoul-sound.com/ Check our Bright Side podcast on Spotify and leave a positive review! https://open.spotify.com/show/0hUkPxD34jRLrMrJux4VxV Subscribe to Bright Side: https://goo.gl/rQTJZz ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/brightside Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/brightside.official TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@brightside.official?lang=en Stock materials (photos, footages and other): https://www.depositphotos.com https://www.shutterstock.com https://www.eastnews.ru ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.brightside.me ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This video is made for entertainment purposes. Did you know that some people believe giants built the ancient temples in Malta? These temples, like Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra, are over 5,000 years old and made from massive stone blocks that seem impossible to move without modern technology. Because of their size and mystery, legends say that giants once roamed the island and were the only ones strong enough to build them. While archaeologists think they were made by humans, using basic tools and clever engineering, the giant stories still capture imaginations. The temples are older than the pyramids, making them one of the oldest structures on Earth. Whether giants were involved or not, Malta’s temples are definitely amazing! The Mariana Trench is the deepest part of the ocean, and it’s so extreme that even scientists hesitate to go back. The pressure down there is so intense it could crush a submarine like a can, making exploration really risky. The trench is also pitch black and freezing cold, making it hard to see and survive for long periods. Weird, creepy creatures live there, and some scientists even say the place feels eerie and unsettling. Plus, the technology needed to explore it is super expensive, and it's not easy to send humans or machines that deep safely. #brightside Animation is created by Bright Side. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Music from TheSoul Sound: https://thesoul-sound.com/ Listen to Bright Side on: Spotify - https://open.spotify.com/show/0hUkPxD34jRLrMrJux4VxV Apple Podcast - https://podcasts.apple.com/podcast/idhttps-podcasts-apple-com-podcast-bright-side/id1554898078 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/brightside/ Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/brightside.official/ Tik Tok - https://www.tiktok.com/@brightside.official?lang=en Snapchat - https://www.snapchat.com/p/c6a1e38a-bff1-4a40-9731-2c8234ccb19f/1866144599336960 Stock materials (photos, footages and other): https://www.depositphotos.com https://www.shutterstock.com https://www.eastnews.ru ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.brightside.me

Did you know that some creatures from the age of dinosaurs are still alive today? Yep, there are sea monsters and other prehistoric monsters swimming and crawling around our planet right now! Take the coelacanth, for example—this ancient fish has been around for over 400 million years and was once thought to be extinct. Then there's the horseshoe crab, a creepy-looking creature that's been scuttling around since prehistoric times. Crocodiles and alligators? They’re basically living dinosaurs! It's like a real-life Jurassic Park out there, with these ancient creatures surviving against the odds. Recently, AI has helped scientists unlock the secrets of ancient scrolls buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius! These scrolls, found in Herculaneum, were buried under volcanic ash for almost 2,000 years, making them impossible to read—until now. By using advanced machine learning, the AI could "see" inside the tightly rolled scrolls without unrolling them. It's like getting a glimpse into the past, revealing lost writings from ancient Rome. This breakthrough means we could uncover more forgotten texts hidden in the scrolls. It’s a huge step in both archaeology and technology! #brightside Animation is created by Bright Side. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Music from TheSoul Sound: https://thesoul-sound.com/ Check our Bright Side podcast on Spotify and leave a positive review! https://open.spotify.com/show/0hUkPxD34jRLrMrJux4VxV Subscribe to Bright Side: https://goo.gl/rQTJZz ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/brightside Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/brightside.official TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@brightside.official?lang=en Stock materials (photos, footages and other): https://www.depositphotos.com https://www.shutterstock.com https://www.eastnews.ru ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.brightside.me ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This video is made for entertainment purposes. A powerful solar flare recently occurred, but fortunately, it did not have a significant impact on Earth. However, it serves as a reminder of the potential dangers of solar flares and their effects on our planet. The solar flare was classified as a Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) and was traveling at three times the normal CME speed. This increased speed meant that the flare had the potential to cause significant disruptions to Earth's magnetic field and potentially damage electronic systems. The most disruptive solar storm ever recorded was the Carrington Event in 1859. #brightside Credit: Shockwaves on The Sun: by NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, CC BY 2.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0/ https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:X_Class_Solar_Flare_Sends_%E2%80%98Shockwaves%E2%80%99_on_The_Sun_(6819094556).jpg Aurora: by NASA, https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Aurora_as_seen_by_IMAGE.PNG Solar Flare: by NASA/SDO https://svs.gsfc.nasa.gov/14592/ Animation is created by Bright Side. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Music from TheSoul Sound: https://thesoul-sound.com/ Check our Bright Side podcast on Spotify and leave a positive review! https://open.spotify.com/show/0hUkPxD34jRLrMrJux4VxV Subscribe to Bright Side: https://goo.gl/rQTJZz ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/brightside Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/brightside.official TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@brightside.official?lang=en Stock materials (photos, footages and other): https://www.depositphotos.com https://www.shutterstock.com https://www.eastnews.ru ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.brightside.me ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This video is made for entertainment purposes.
