Prime Cut DVD: https://store.skitheeast.net/products/prime_cut_dvd.html Prime Cut on iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/tv-season/meathead-films-prime-cut/id477306433 In the winter of 2011, the Meatheads kept a close eye on the weather in Japan all season. The country had huge snowfall in January and then a dry February, so it was a gamble when the film crew booked tickets for the first two weeks of March. Veterans Dan Marion and Sean Decker teamed up with fresh Meat, Chris Logan, to explore the island and complete some unfinished business from the 2010 trip. Luckily, the snow returned with a vengeance in March, and the Meatheads were buried under a fresh foot of snow almost every day. Working with Clayton Kernaghan at Black Diamond Guides, the skiers were able to access plenty of collar-deep powder and pillows via chairlift, skinning and snowmobile. Meathead Films was in Hokkaido backcountry on the afternoon of March 11, 2011 when the devastating earthquake and tsunami hit off the coast of Honshu, the main island. No tremors were felt on the snow and Hokkaido was unaffected, but as news trickled in over the days following the event, the crew's priorities shifted toward getting home. More about the trip, the amazing snow and the earthquake can be seen in the new movie, "Prime Cut."

Prime Cut DVD: https://store.skitheeast.net/products/prime_cut_dvd.html Prime Cut on iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/tv-season/meathead-films-prime-cut/id477306433 Toward the end of the 2011 ski season Meathead Films organized an Easter weekend park shoot with Killington Resort in Vermont. With ample snow left over from the Dew Tour course, terrain park supervisor Jay Rosenbaum headed a crew that spent several days constructing features. A 70-foot tabletop (with mini side booter) as well as a unique blocked out feature affectionately termed the "Killington Kastle" allowed skiers Will Hibbs, Evan Williams, JP Perry, Jake Doan, and KC Brousseau to work their airborne prowess. The sometimes fickle late-spring weather held out and the Meatheads were able to shred for three productive days. This Prime Cutlet features some of the tricks and camera angles that didn't quite make the final version of the new movie.

Temps reached 80˚F in Burlington, VT and the crew decided to leave the tropics and head to the Alps which were having an incredible season. In this Part 2, the Swiss escapade continues with the big mountain crew slaying during days 3-5 of the trip. With temperatures on the rise, sunny blower pow days are limited and the Meats and the Ortlieb brothers continue to schralp the goods. Cliff air trickery, big front flips, big lines, and straight lines ensue. Not to mention some snippets of a Swiss feast featuring a traditional dinner of sausages, potatoes, bacon, cheeses, and fondue (more cheese!), as well as the best scenic eating shot of Meathead history. "No Matter How" is a behind-the-scenes and bonus footage webisode series chronicling the 2012 winter with Meathead Films. The series showcases just how the crew managed the season, dealt with the struggles and logged lots of worthy outtakes that never made it into the feature movie. The feature length film "No Matter What" was released on DVD and iTunes in the fall of 2012.
