This is a very common issue on these Nissan 2.5. Although it can be mechanical engine timing, cam phasers etc. The majority of the time it is a simple solenoid. It would be my suggestion to swap out all three (intake, lock and exhaust) solenoids but the choice is yours. -Enjoy! In this video I have a look at a customers 2017 Honda Civic.
