Abestone Hard Enduro 2021 was the event’s debut edition and it took the World Hard Enduro Championship heat onto the rocks of Italia’s one of finest ski resorts, Abetone – Tuscany. The racing weekend witnessed a tight battle between Billy Bolt and Manuel Lettenbichler. It was Bolt who won it by a nose and took the advantage at the championship ladder. Lettenbichler came in P2 and hardenduro legend Graham Jarvis P3. Dieter Rudolf raced in Expert Class and did an excellent job by finishing P14 overall and P2 in the Expert Class. After three days of racing, we finally reached to the last day at the 2nd round of FIM World Hard Enduro Championship 2022 Season, Xross Hard Enduro Rally. Riders fought back and forth starting from Straight Rhythm Prologue and through Offroad Day 1-2. Manuel Lettenbichler was the one on top of the leader board with a comfortable gap, +8m, and all he had to is to stick to his pace one more day. The German admitted that he came here without any expectation but after Day 2 he found himself leading and that changed the mood. Letti had yet another great riding without any trouble and crowned his comeback with a victory. Theodor Kabakchiev proved himself to be a serious contender to the factory riders and got a stunning podium appearance with a P2. Young Bulgarian now sits in P3 at the championship standings after a P6 at Rd1 Minus 400 and a P2 here in Serbia, 27Pts. 47 years old GOAT Graham Jarvis was the one who completed the podium. Coming back from a major knee injury and becoming a privateer, the Brit still has it and he now leads the WHEC standing with Billy Bolt, 30 Pts each. Xross was also the 1st round of the newly announced integrated World Hard Enduro Junior Championship. South African Matt Green was the one who topped the points at the first round with an overall P10. He was followed by Britain’s Mitch Brightmore, P14, and Israel’s Suff Sella, P15. The over night rain cleared the dust without making it too muddy and the scene were set for good at Day 2 of Enduro GP France Réquista. Steve Holcombe led the top 3 just as Day 1 and in the end, he claimed the Enduro GP France Day 2 victory of the season. Brad Freeman and Andrea Verona pushed their limits and closed the gap but none of them was able to clinch the top position out of Steve’s hands. Brad came in P2 and Andrea P3. One of the most popular Spanish Dirtbike event Basella Race 1 2020 was held in Catalonia on 8-9 February. Hiu Selatan Hill Climb 2022 was held in Cilacap, 400 km South-East of Jakarta, for the first time and we had some hot names including Graham Jarvis and Mario Roman. The race format was a bit unusual and it took some time to get. On Day 1 there was a prologue section of seven hill climbs. Despite the climbs being tricky and too steep for amateur taste congrats to all competitors for not hesitating and always taking the extra mile. On Day 2 there was an extreme single track with technical riverbed steep forest section. There was a couple more climbs in the forest but the one at the end just stole the fans away from the rest. Graham Jarvis comfortably won the race in Mario Roman’s absence. Mario was present but just as a fan, he suffered an injury in Serbia, WHEC Rd2 Xross, and he is in recovery period. The Indonesian enthusiasm of motorcycles and hospitality was something to witness. World’s best Hard Enduro Riders lined up to give it a go for Sea to Sky 2020 on Day 1’s Beach Race. In a nightmare season due to corona outbreak we missed nearly all great events such as Erzberg Rodeo and in fact some entire championships. Bearing that in mind Sea to Sky was the only big event still happening. More than 170 riders throughout world showed up at Antalya, Turkey to enjoy this beautiful nature as much as possible. Day 1 started with Beach Race prologue where each rider to get 2 hot laps and try to score fastest time possible. After prologue 150 qualified riders took start 50 at a time and the fastest 50 was the last main show of the day. Husqvarna’s Billy Bolt took the lead right after the start and kept it till the end. Rd 4 of the Romanian Hard Enduro Championship 2021 season, Ditrocks Hard Enduro took place in the town of Ditrau, 16-18 July 2021. With some international appearances including Teodor Kabakchiev and Suff Sella along with the Romanian national Jozsa Norbert Levente the racing weekend witnessed great battles. Racing weekend started with the 15km endurocross style prologue and Teodor was the one who set the best time for the day. He was followed by Jozsa Norbert and Suff Sella. Off-road Day 1 featured an 85KM single track and Day 2 with another 50KM to cover. In the end Jarvis Racing Team rider Teodor Kabakchiev won the race and his podium companions were same as the prologue results. Jozsa Norbert came in P2 and Suff Sella P3. The final round of the 2022 Hard Enduro World Championship was bound to be a close fight at Hixpania between the defending champ Manuel Lettenbichler and the home hero Mario Roman. After Day 1’s City Prologue and Day 2’s Campoo Xtreme Mani managed to reserve the front row for final action, Lost Roads. From start to finish he controlled everything and stayed away doing major mistakes which would have put a tragic end to his almost flawless season. At the end of the day, The German rightfully defended his title and became a 3rd time champion of the world. Mario, with just 4 pts behind Letti, was full of hopes at the start of the week but the opening days didn’t turn out to favour him. He still had a 2h30m extremely hard course to cover as well as his rivals and opportunities might show up. He put his head down, caught his pace and started working on damage recovery but at the end it was just not enough against Letti. The Spaniard crossed the line 2nd and therefore completed the season with P2 on the podium. City Prologue winner Alfredo Gomez was the one who completed the podium for Hixpania Hard Enduro 2022. HEWC championship 3rd position contender Graham Jarvis managed to complete P5 and secured his spot on the season’s overall podium. South African Matt Green became the title winner of the newly introduced Junior Hard Enduro World Champion after a delightful season to remember for himself. Uncle Hard Enduro 2022 brought up the worlds most talented riders for a breath-taking Indonesian challenge in Kiram Park, South Borneo. After Day 1’s Prologue we jumped into the Day 1 Race where the riders must complete 3 laps through a wide loop. Young Bulgarian became known as a power house for events like this and as a result of a brilliant ride, he brought the P1 home. Teodor cleared more than 7 minutes against his closest rival. 36th edition of Trefle Lozerien AMV held past weekend in Mende, France, with over 500 riders and it was a true enduro festival with great organizational experience and fans from around the world. The title fight was a tight one between KTM’s Josep Garcia and Gas Gas’s Andrea Verona. The leading duo was on another level of riding with the tightest margins at the each special but at the end it was Josep Garcia who claimed the victory. The Spaniard added his name to the winners of Therle Lozerien AMV for the second time after his first victory in 2019. The action was finally back for British Extreme Enduro Championship 2020 season after receiving several postponements. Round 3 Mini Ravines held in Helmsley, North Yorkshire last weekend on 23th of August. The track was wet and muddy due to heavy rain for the past few days and it raised the challenge level considerably. Jonny Walker and Billy Bolt were leading the race and it was a duel for the eyes but Walker had to retire due to mechanical problems. By claiming the victory, Billy Bolt continued his winning streak for the BEEC 2020 season and sits on top of the leader board. We put an incredible racing week behind at the ISDE 2021 Italy and home boys got the title in WT and JWT. 95th International Six Days Enduro Italia 2021 was held in Lombardy & Piedmont. Throughout the week we all had ups and downs but the saddest moment was on day 2. Club Team Award contender Arnold Staal passed away. The KTM rider lost his life in the transfer between the Casanova Staffora Enduro Test and the Bagnaria Cross Test, that is to say between the third and fourth special stage of the day. After paying respect to the hero, fellow riders kept racing to honor his memory. Team Italy was on a roll from the beginning and they all kept a consistent pace throughout the week. They won all 6 days and got the trophy. Andrea Verona was the fastest man in the team and he got P2 at the individual classification behind Josep Garcia. Italy also dominated and won the Junior World Trophy before Team France and Team Sweden. The story was different in the Women s World Trophy. It was Team United States who controlled the racing week and brought it home for the 95th edition of ISDE.
