So we did it! Our first time Overlanding and I’m just going to say.... we would definitely do it again!! Valerie from GenRight Off Road guided us in a 3 day adventure filled with breathtaking views, dirt roads, pine forests, national parks and more! We had Bob Overlander from CVT tents with us along with Nic and Rex from the Rockstar Garage. In Part 1, we are picking up and getting to our first destination for the evening! As I continue to prep the Jeep for the upcoming season, things have slowed to a glacial pace due to the Shelter-at-Home order here in California. Certain manufacturers like King Shocks have shut down and I m waiting patiently for my rear driver shock to be repaired. In a way I m thankful that things have slowed down because there is no shortage of small maintenence projects to tackle. I m also making a few small upgrades like new rotors and pads. The team at R1 set me up with the correct parts for my Fusion4x4 D60/D80 axles (2009 Chevy HD Front and 2014 Ram 3500 Rear) and, I decided today would be the perfect day to swap them in for the old ones. I ll spend the next year running this R1 gear and will provide some thoughts after the season. Do any of you have R1 products on your rig? Let me know what you think of them in the comments below.

I dropped off the earth for a little while there due to a bad cold....... I can tell I m getting older because I cant push on through like I used to! I had a little trouble with the Jeep making yet another new sound so it was time to investigate! Thank goodness it wasn t my front end and I m happy to finally have to use my spare front driveshaft I ve been carrying around for a good while now! Now I can send not only the front but rear driveshaft back to #tomwoodsdriveshafts to be rebuilt! We were able to go wheeling again but came into a very strange problem of not being able to steer what so ever? Nothing broken, all fluids perfect......I put it down to just a Jeep moment :) I m excited to share the next episode with you very soon and I m excited to be hosting a BBQ Buffet event at EJS this year, Monday 29th March 6:30pm - 9pm! We are getting there with MischiefMaker. I’m this episode, the nuts drive me a little nuts!! The rear fenders are installed. I take care of my very small issue with rubbing on the rear bumper by cutting a small portion away! I get the new windshield in place to be installed tomorrow!!
