Let s explore the new Rolls-Royce Cullinan, the most exquisite SUV ever created! It is the first such car to come from Rolls-Royce as well as their first time making a vehicle with 4WD, but let s find out what it s like on and off-road, while fully discovering everything there is to know about it. Cullinan has been long awaited, and carries the name of the largest diamond ever mined, but will it live up to expectations? The barrier is set high by default and joining the launch event for the car in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, we can explore all the details in a full walkaround as well as driving in different environments. Cullinan is a true Rolls-Royce in every way, and really meets a new segment of the market by carving its own path. Traditional characteristics mix in with the latest technology, with a package that is both luxurious and elegant. This wasn t what I expected! 6 months into ownership of my Lotus Emira First Edition, let s talk about the pros and cons, and the mistakes I ve made with it. The Emira is a huge success for Lotus, but what could be improved, and what would I change, it s time to give my feedback. Having ordered my Lotus Emira a few years ago, it arrived late last year, and is now over half a year in my possession having very much become my daily driver in recent times. At the time of ordering, I lived in the city and the plan was for it to be a toy/weekend car, whereas I ve now moved to the countryside and it s turned into a rather brilliant thing for the daily run. However, through my usage and now 3,000 miles on the clock, there are plenty of observations to share, both positive and negative, about the car. From driving, interior, and more specifically moving onto the mistakes I made with my spec in terms of the change of usage, and what I d do differently next time around. A Ferrari V12 returns to my garage, I ve bought another Ferrari GTC4Lusso! When this car came for sale, with such a complemenetary spec to my inbound SF90 Stradale, it had to happen, so let s head to HR Owen Ferrari Mayfair to collect it and bring it home. After previously owning both a Ferrari FF, and a GTC4Lusso that I sold about 15 months ago, it s time to get back into the fold of a V12 from Maranello in the collection. The Ferrari 3-door hatch/shooting break format is one I ve always really enjoyed and despite seling my previous car, when this popped up at my dealer, it was too tempting to resist. You might be wondering, why no 812 GTS? I make no secret that I d love a GTS down the line, however as per my recent video driving one, the prices are currently too high for me to justify (over list price for a car I can t spec) so I shall take some time for the right car down the line. For now, the Lusso is going to make a superb support car for a big upcoming tour I have planned with the SF90. After setting off from @TheShmuseum, we re onboard the team Audi RS3 to head into central London and collect the Ferrari. The spec of this specific car is in Blu Pozzi, a heritage paint colour, with a Sabbia interior with Blu Sterling and Blu Medio accents. It s done and the result is perfect! My Porsche Taycan Turbo S, the first EV in the Shmeemobiles is now completely transformed into Midnight Green with Aurum Gold wheels and wow does it look good. Starting at Whoops Wheel Fix It with the AMG G63, let s see the finished result for the Taycan s 21" Mission-e wheels now that they are painted in Aurum Gold, the 2019+ colour from Porsche. To match, they ve also painted the rear badges for the car in the same colour, and it will be receiving some identical halo and pinstriping details on the car. With them then loaded up into the G Wagon, it s back on the road to deliver them to Dub Customs and fit back to the car. With added Christmas decorations, the Taycan s Midnight Green wrap is now finished and looking incredible. The 2022 Gumball 3000 is underway! The 22nd rally is going from Toronto to Miami, with the start flag waving the cars off in Yonge-Dundas Square. Over 100 supercars depart from the Canadian city to an amazing crowd and an awesome atmosphere, with plenty to keep the crowd buzzing! The year s Gumball 3000 has a fully packed grid with the cars setting off for the first leg to Indianapolis via the border crossing to the US and a checkpoint at a music festival in Detroit. The grid has supercars like the McLaren P1 and Aston Martin One-77 to stand out unusual choices like an old Beetle, a 60s Mustang, and even a tour bus. It s time for the RENNtech upgrades to my SLS AMG Black Series! After ordering in the parts which were specially made, it s now time to get the car on the ramps and get started installing the new headers, sports-cats and the tune to transform it into the R1 Package. Things are about to get beastly... Having previously been at RENNtech Europe for upgrades to both my AMG GT R and also AMG G63, the SLS Black Series has found its way to being the next Shmeemobile in line to receive the RENNtecht treatment. After departing from the Nurburgring area last week, the car has stayed with the team but now it s time for the work to begin carrying out the upgrade. Arriving with my Ford GT is quite appropriate, as that car along with the SLS Black Series are very much my dream car garage, two Shmeemobiles which have both been personalised and made into exactly what I want from them. The GT featuring my personalised colour scheme, new BBS FI-R wheels, some interior upgrades and the Akrapovic exhaust, and now the SLS BS following a similar path with the paintwork, wheels and RENNtech package. The R1 package itself consists of the headers along with 200-cell high-flow sports cats, with a tune to take power from 631hp to 675hp, although there s still some checks to be done as to why mine reported a lower output before. But it s not just a performance increase, it s going to be getting a whole lot louder and more aggressive, allowing the 6.2l NA V8 to have a thunderous sound. A compulsory upgrade for any tuning project; a new exhaust! For my GR Yaris, I ve opted for Milltek Sport s 3" Non-Resonated OPF Back system which we can hear both before and after around the install at Milltek s HQ on the Shmeemobile. What an improvement! The Toyota GR Yaris arrived in my garage to be a bit of a fun project, and after making a livery for it with Dub Customs, the important next step in the process is by far and away to give it a little bit more of a throaty sound. While the GR Yaris is famed for its driving characteristics, it s fair to say that the stock sound is slightly lacking. However, Milltek Sport to the rescue! While I was away in the USA, I leaned the car to Milltek to use as their development vehicle to design, engineer and produce the new exhaust. Already seeing huge success for their new system that s available with a number of different finishes, the Milltek OPF Back exhaust for the GR Yaris compensates for the throttled sound by the OPF and hugely improves the experience as a result. In addition, it also introduces a new mounting bracket to support the exhaust and prevents the huge levels of play that the stock exhaust leaves by holding it more securely in place. With a quick run out, and a simple before and after comparison, it s very clear that this was a good move and the new exhaust sounds great! The Brabus 800 Adventure XLP is as extreme as a G Wagon could ever be! Bigger, taller, longer, faster, noisier, you name it, this is a G63 with a serious injection of steroids and eats up the gnarly terrain like it s nothing. With 800hp and massive ground clearance, come along for an experience of what it s like for some proper off-roading. The Adventure models are Brabus G Wagons created for serious driving, and in this case the XL given how extra-large it is, and the P for the configuration with the pick-up at the back. The car is 70cms longer than standard, the wheelbase being 50cm of that while also lifting it by approximately 35cms housing the portal axles with a huge 49cm ground clearance. However, the modifications don t stop there! Up front is the 4.0l twin turbo V8 now making 800hp and 1,000nm thanks to new turbos, ECU and exhaust system. Onboard is a full head-to-toe retrimmed interior with the finest Brabus leather. The exterior is completed with towing winch, 22" wheels with off-road tyres, roof-rack, additional lights, and of course the Widestar widebody kit. Kicking off from the inside of a former gas power station s cooling tower, let s see how easily the Brabus G Wagon can handle it. The fun really begins when it s time to make a splash too! We re driving my Porsche Taycan Turbo S back home, with plenty to think about along the way. What do you need to do differently for an EV road trip? How is it on the continent versus the UK? Is this really the future, are we doing the right thing with electric cars? It s been quite the adventure; 1,500 miles / 2,500 km across from London to Munich, with many, many charging stops along the way to really have a full experience of what it s like and more learning of the electric car world. While the journey itself has been pretty smooth sailing, there are certainly issues and concerns for what happens next. Fundamentally, doing a trip like this requires a different plan to doing the same with a combustion engine; notably more frequent stops albeit very briefly in order to maximise the charge time. It turned out to be very fluid through most European countries but the issues certainly arose at our two UK charging stops. Meet my new Porsche 911 GT3! After keeping it a secret, we can finally see the PTS colour that I have chosen: Gelbgrün - which literally translates to "yellow green", no surprise when you see quite how bright this colour is! I have the amazing opportunity to chase my car trough the 911 assembly plant, from a bodyshell to sitting on its own wheels. The excitement is very real! Joined by Parker from Vehicle Virgins after filming with his new car the day before (or not...), we arrived in Zuffenhausen to catch my car as the shell arrived from the bodyshop into the assembly line. From there it was a game of hunting out the different parts like the engine, gearbox, axles, bumpers and watching them all arrive and build up the car until it sits down onto its own wheels towards the end of the line. I m sure you ll be asking about what s next, well the car has one finishing touch that you haven t seen yet that I ll film in a further visit back to the factory. Then it will take a few days to finalise, send out to the dealership and hopefully collect around the turn of the year or in January (partly depending on my own manic travel plans). I went with @TheStradman to find the top speed of my Shelby GT500! After a drive out to a dry lake bed, it s time to put the foot down up to the limited top end speed of 183mph. The GT500 is an absolute beast! I m spending a few days with James and Burlacher, and after a full TheStradman supercar collection tour and a run out in the Bugatti Veyron, it s time to up the pace. Strad has often taken his cars out to the dry lake bed to see what they can do; from the 458 Italia to Corvette C8, but this time around my brutal Mustang is giving it a go with some other friends too. After a few runs to build up to it and get used to the loose and unusual surface, it s eventually building through the 180mph mark and onto what seems like an electronic limiter regardless of gear at 182/183mph indicated. It s believed that the GT500 can do 186mph from what I ve read and therefore it s no surprise to fall a touch short considering the surface is not tarmac. Next up, will be to find out what it can do on the Autobahn in due course! However, that s not all, TheStradman was giving it a go in his McLaren 12C, as well as @StefanLewis in the Nissan GT-R, who promptly turned it into a game of soccer/football! What a supercar packed day in Dubai before heading home for collection day of my AMG GT R Pro! After some laps at the Autodrome in a new Ford GT, it s over to check out an SLS AMG Black Series that just arrived for sale, return the 812 Superfast, and catch the flight - next stop GT R Pro! The day gets started at the Dubai Autodrome, joining for some fun on track with hot laps onboard a new Ford GT! Having not been able to bring my own car over to the Middle East, it s amazing to have the opportunity to ride on track in one that is frequently used properly by its owner - respect to him, and even more so for driving it hard. Then back into the Ferrari 812 Superfast that I ve been using out in the UAE for a busy schedule ahead. The first stop is to visit Al Ain Class to see something new that has just arrived in stock that rather takes my fancy; the Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series in Magno Alanite Grey! However, it s then time to return the amazing 812 to Al Tayer Motors Ferrari in Dubai while reflecting on what has been an amazing driving experience. The temptation for a Superfast or GTS is very high and we will have to see what the future holds for that. In the meantime, there s some great news that my McLaren Senna has made good progress and won t be too far off from being collected! But that s not the only news; an offer has come my way for a sportscar that might prove irresistible with the car arriving in the garage soon - let s see how that goes. Daniel Abt runs the most monstrous daily driver possible, the Abt RS7-R! It s an absolute beast with 740hp, a unique design, numerous carbon parts, a new exhaust and more; plus being one of only 125 RS7-Rs being built. Let s check it out before getting out for an Autobahn blast to 300km/h! Daniel and I often cross paths at events around the world, so for a while I hoped our schedules would link up and we could check out his RS7-R to go through all of the details and experience what it s like. During a visit to the Abt HQ we finally managed to make this happen and go out for a drive together. The RS7-R takes power up from 600hp to 740hp and torque from 800Nm to 920Nm, clearly making it a very, very capable machine while still being an ideal daily cruiser. Nowhere demonstrates the power and performance better than a run on the de-restricted German Autobahn despite the inclement weather where the modified Audi RS7 absolutely holds its own in an impressive way. The new Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing means serious business! Equipped with a 6.2l supercharged V8 making 668bhp, and in this case a manual gearbox, let s find out all about it and go for a first drive. It s been a few years since I last drove a Cadillac, the CTS-V, and in many ways the CT5-V succeeds that car. While technically slightly smaller than a BMW M5, it s also larger than an M3, but offers huge power by borrowing the engine from the C7 Corvette Z06 and Camaro ZL1 in the form of the 6.2 litre supercharged V8 pushing out 677hp (668bhp) and 893Nm of torque. As with many cars from the group, there s a lot of technology on offer for the price, including configurable driving modes, many variable settings, a Personal Data Recorder for track telemetry, and much more. With the entry price tag of $85,000 USD, this fully loaded example comes in at $114,000 with all the options. After a walkaround, it s out onto the roads of Miami for a first drive experience to see with the CT5-V Blackwing is all about and how it stacks up against some of the European equivalents.
