"We work around the eyes, quite black and deep to make the eyes very long and feminine," says Christine Corbel, Makeup Artist for the show. "It s all about dry texture," explains the hairstylist. "It s all about little braids on the side." The first girl that opens the show looks like a gold ballerina in her frothy tutu and bustier dress. But would we expect any different from the fashion dynamite who was responsible for H&M s most successful hi/low collaboration to date? She wowed us with a set constructed with mirrored steps that was just as glistening as the dresses themselves. Each girl walked down gingerly in sky-high Versace gladiator stilettos, giving the audience a breathtaking glimpse of the beautifully beaded works of art in colors like silver, copper, gold, and even orange. Each dress was tight to showcase every curve of a woman s silhouette with high-end beads and pailettes covering each piece. Metallic insets gave the dresses a sculpted touch. While Karlie Kloss couldn t open the show with her signature walk, we ll take her (and Lindsey Wixson s) couture pose over the typical waltz any day. A mix of high-end warriors meets futuristic space glamazons, to say the least. Click below to win! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGdDRuut55w Making your own concealer/corrector is really easy. All you need is a Pink/Red or Orange lipstick. I used OCC lip tars but a lipstick is just the same. By combining these colours with your own concealer you start to rearrange the colour making a corrector. A plus is that you also change the texture of the concealer - so if you have a concealer that is very dry in texture you can make it more emollient by adding the lipstick. Go slow, build colour gradually. Learning to use correctors can massively change your face by adding BRIGHTNESS rather than lightness. Women of colour can really benefit from correctors because they cancel out the ashiness that can often result from using a concealer that is too light. Personally speaking i prefer a more "bisque" shade of corrector than peach/salmon but this is a personal choice. They look amazing. The secret is that it separates the lashes without clumping them - making every lash look amazing. I love it :) You can get mascara combs from most companies and before this video i thin people used them mostly to "de-clump" the lashes after mascara. Sadly it never really worked that well, if at all. This way you are applying it directly to the mascara comb creating a whole new way to apply mascara. Please be careful. You are doing near your eyes with a metal/plasic comb. Please don t rush. YOU CAN CURL YOUR LASHES AFTER YOU VE APPLIED MASCARA THIS WAY.
