Prego Dalliance Sanctuary *Together we can help*
So during our live on Facebook I spoke about this organization called Prego Dalliance Sanctuary. Prego Dalliance Sanctuary is a non profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated in providing a loving, safe, nurturing environment with medical care for a final home for rescued parrots. I found them a couple years ago right here on YouTube when I was considering taking in an Eclectus parrot myself. Although I never adopted one there was a video that always stuck in the back of my mind that I watched. Fast forward into time after creating a IG account for my personal flock, I came across them again. I noticed in some post they reached out for general items to help with upkeep. It got me thinking that maybe I could help this compassionate yet selfless organization in doing some good and I reached out to Monika. I figured with my Facebook following I could monetize a video that I d have her create and donate the funds I made. Now it may not be much but why not. After all some is better than none. Plus it s a great way to spread awareness to parrot ownership; what things they may endure and how important it is that impulse purchases are a bad idea. Impulse buying because we see a cute video can create a terrible turnout. Without enough knowledge and research before getting a bird can end in disappointment and more so for the bird. You see just like humans no bird is the same. I personally put in a ton of time with my birds daily for them to be sweet natured. Not only that but we as owners must realize all the pro and cons that come with PARRONTING. Not every bird is fit for every home. How awful of a situation it can turn out to be if you were brought home and not what your new parents thought you would be so they left you alone all day by yourself or given away to yet another home or had medical issues they couldn t handle. There are many things to consider from space, attention, food, the cleaning, medical, vacations, unsafe items within homes and so much more. I understand there are other instances that a bird is in a loving home and the owner passes away but these are things we should think about not just with birds but all animals alike, as you would human children. They are children too but with feathers and they rely on us their entire life. So I will leave a link to this exact same video but from our Facebook. If you choose to just view or additionally share from there that would be fantastic or just viewing here to get a better understanding of what this and many organizations like them do. https://fb.watch/6jPxzUlpm1/ Also I will add a direct link to their website where you can find out more information as to what they do, toys available for purchase that s profit goes back to the parrots, recipes, donations and more. https://www.pdsnonprofit.org/?m=1 Thank you š¤š
