Tennis Serve Transformation - How I Changed My Serve Technique Download our FREE serve guide here - https://www.top-tennis-training.com/serve-guide/ In this tennis lesson, you ll see Coach Simon Konov of Top Tennis Training changing his tennis serve technique and the transformation it brings. There are so many different serve techniques that we can try out for our own motion to help us better understand which one suits our body more. The ultimate goal is to gain as much power along with good consistency on the tennis serve, and remain injury-free in the process. Why I Changed My Tennis Serve Technique? In April, I competed in my first tournament in 10 years, an ITF seniors tour event in Turkey. From the very first match, I felt like I was serving well in patches but then losing the leg drive when I started getting tired. This lead me to experiment with my serve technique and try out some of the various ways I could hit a tennis serve. The main serve techniques I tested were: - The Sampras style, with a full racket drop, using a platform stance and coiling the upper body. - The half swing motion, trying to focus on creating a faster motion and using a narrow platform or wide pinpoint stance. - The half swing using a pinpoint stance, focusing on getting my body weight moving through the serve. Ultimately, I still have a lot of work to do to regain the power, consistency and accuracy I once had on my serve. However, I am excited with some of the results I ve seen since experimenting and hope to use them in matches very soon.
