It was on YouTube in 240p quality, so we went back to the original footage and re-edited it to be higher quality video and audio. Unfortunately back in 2004 we weren t as good at filming our events as we are now. Only one camera was used. We hope you enjoy it despite the low production value! Improv Everywhere performs a 16-person synchronized swimming routine in the fountain in Washington Square Park. Posing as the official New York City synchronized swimming team, the Olympic-hopefuls compete in three inches of dirty water in this unauthorized event. Will the judges reward their effort? This 2004 mission is the third in a series of remastered videos we are producing from our archives to commemorate our 10th anniversary. We are going through our original tapes and updating old classics with higher quality video and audio, as well as adding additional never-before-seen footage. Due to file size restrictions in the early days of YouTube, many of these videos have only been seen in extremely low 240p quality. The remastered Synchronized Swimming video dramatically improves the video quality and removes the previously used copyrighted music, allowing the video to be seen in some countries for the first time. Others include Frozen Grand Central, the Food Court Musical, and the famous No Pants Subway Ride, to name a few.
