The Yukon is a wild place. Possibly one the world’s wildest. With just shy of 50,000 people spread across 186,272 square miles, the land is larger than California and less populated than Monaco. Today, it is home to both the Kluane First Nation and the Kluane National Park and Reserve, and for centuries it has attracted those who seek both literal and figurative gold in the mountains. There are generations of stories to tell from this place, and the dedicated team at Parks Canada has taken it upon themselves to be interpreters of the land. Passionate, wildly educated, and educated in the ways of the wild, this group brings a refreshing philosophical approach that sees value in more than preservation.
