Kennedy s California Tacos Challenge w/ ErikTheElectric & Magic Mikey!!

A&Z #683 - Atlas vs The 7lb California Tacos Challenge at Kennedy s Meat Company in Escondido of San Diego, California. The weekend after visiting Washington, DC where I did the giant pho challenge, I visited the San Diego, California area where I did 3 events, including 2 restaurant food challenges. This is event #3 featuring The 7lb California Tacos Challenge at Kennedy s Meat Company in Escondido of San Diego, California. I attempted the challenge alongside my friends Erik "The Electric" Lamkin and "Magic" Mikey who are both from southern California. We each had 40 minutes to finish and get the whole meal free. Thanks to the Kennedy s staff for the wonderful hospitality, and thanks to all the many people who came up to watch and meet us!! You must finish two giant tacos served on a 12" fried tortilla, and each taco includes 1lb of carne asada, pico de gallo, french fries, guacamole, cheese, lettuce, and more. The tacos are served with 1/2 pint portions of rice and refried beans, and there are some chips & salsa as well. There is a 40 minute time limit to finish everything. Winners receive the meal free, a sweet t-shirt, and spot on Kennedy s Wall of Fame. If you can beat the current record, you also win the jackpot which includes $100 plus $10 for each person who has failed the challenge since the last winner. Call ahead and schedule your challenge beforehand.
