Alcaraz Plays Tennis From the Future - This Is Why He Can Dominate Download our FREE tennis guides here - https://www.top-tennis-training.com/free-guide/ Carlos Alcaraz just won his first Grand Slam at the 2022 US Open Championships. In this video, Top Tennis Training Coach Simon Konov will break down the major factors in the Carlos Alcaraz game that can help him dominate men s tennis for years, even the next decade. Carlos Alcaraz Plays An All-Court Game A 12-year-old Alcaraz was interviewed at a junior tournament in Spain and was asked who his favourite tennis player was? His reply was "Roger Federer". It s very clear that Alcaraz has copied many elements of the Roger Federer game, which is very clear during the lag phase of his forehand and the fact he likes to attack the net whenever possible. This was the style of play Roger Federer liked to use in the mid-2000s. Defending Alcaraz can defend extremely well, making it hard for opponents to finish the point against him. His movement when defending is a mix between Novak Djokovic and Rafa Nadal. Attacking with Power Alcaraz has the ability to inject a massive amount of power into his strokes without much notice or effort on his part. His fluidity and looseness allow him to create huge racket head speed which gives him this strength. Using Time To Attack Alcaraz also likes to take the ball on the rise whenever the option is available. This makes him very different to most Spanish players, who typically play from further back in the court. This is a trait we have seen for many years with Novak Djokovic. This gives Alcaraz a massive advantage against many grinders on tour, who rely on time to play use their tricks. Attacking with Precision Alcaraz also uses precision very well, often incorporating the drop shot into his matches. Indeed, in Madrid against Nadal and Djokovic, Alcaraz used the drop shot on many big points which helped him win both matches. He also uses the width of the tennis court, often reducing the power but going for acute angles. Attacking the Net The biggest reason Carlos Alcaraz can dominate Men s tennis is his net game and the ability he has to finish off points with the volley. A forgotten skill, Alcaraz will have a huge edge over the competition because of this.
