The Kore Collection: A Technical Look

At Head, we set out to define a new level of performance in our Freeride skis. To achieve this, we stripped the ski down to it’s core, re-thinking every material used in it’s construction. After years of testing and prototyping, the result was Kore. By using Koroyd through the waist of the ski, we were able to reduce weight and absorb vibrations. We combined a thermally welded Koroyd honeycomb core with a light weight Karuba wood core: the Koroyd acting as a lightweight dampener in a stiff, lightweight Karuba core. We set this beneath a sheet of carbon and fused tips and tails with Graphene to reduce and redistribute weight throughout the ski.
