Cook your potatoes on a campfire, the Proper Primitive Bushcraft way! Quite often I see fellow bushcrafter’s use tinfoil when cooking at their bushcraft camp. This disposable product does not fit the bushcraft philosophy, at least in my opinion. Disposable products are not sustainable and can t provide a long-term solution in self-reliance cooking. So instead of packing potatoes in aluminum foil, I use leaves to cook them with a fire. Furthermore, we roast some Burdock, a great wild edible, and practice with the bow drill when making our fire to cook on.
