Radio? Who Needs a RADIO!? (Land Rover LR3)

Owner drove his 2006 Land Rover LR3 from 5 hours away to get his radio and navigation system diagnosed. One day it decided to not turn on and has been dead ever since. The Land Rover has almost 250k miles on the clock and has a lot of electrical faults, but driving without music is no fun! He already tried a used unit from eBay, but that did not turn on either.
