Blue Dragons Do you believe in dragons? In late November, over a dozen strange blue dragon-like creatures washed ashore on Fish Hoek Beach near Cape Town, South Africa. Local resident Maria Wagener was stunned! 9. Bomb on Pass-a-Grille Beach A beachgoer was taking a relaxing stroll along Pass-a-Grille beach around St. Petersburg, Florida, when they came upon a shocking discovery – there in the middle of the sand, they’d found a barnacle-covered explosive from WWII! 8. A Combustible Surprise Jodie Crews, a mom in Kent, U.K. and her eight-year-old daughter, Isabella were stumped by a mystery object they found on the beach. At first they thought it was a fossil. They took it home and posted photos of it on fossil and archaeology sites, hoping that someone would know what it was. 5. Hoodwinker Fish Headlines around the world buzzed in early 2019, when a “hoodwinker,” or Mola tecta fish washed up on the shore at Coal Oil Point Reserve near Santa Barbara, California. Not only is the species incredibly strange looking, it was found thousands of miles from its normal range. 4. Rare Barnacles During a family trip to a beach in Wales, Martyn Green and his family discovered a hairy-looking log that turned out to be covered with thousands of ‘alien-like’ creatures poking out of their white shells. The shells were all clinging to the driftwood for dear life, but nobody knew what they were. 3. Beached Brains Wisconsin resident and construction worker, Jimmy Senda was taking his daily morning walk along the shore in Samuel Myers Beach Park when he spotted an object wrapped in aluminum and a rubber band. Upon taking a closer look, he realized that the package contained what looked like a human brain. 2. Sea Hares A woman took to social media for help identifying a strange, jelly-like sea creature that washed up on South Beach in Fremantle, Australia. She received feedback warning her not to let her dog anywhere near it. The concerned commenters said the animal might be a sea hare, which carries toxins that are dangerous to canines. 1.
