The safety vault is the first parkour move or vault you should learn when beginning parkour or freerunning. It is one of the easiest parkour moves you can learn also one of the most effective. Not only is it a stepping stone into doing speed vaults, it can also be used as a flow trick or to effectively get over an object that you are to close to or is to high. however it can also be used on the way down from objects. BANDANA LINK: http://jesselaflair.com/buy-la-flair-parkour-bandana/ SAFETY VAULT INSTRUCTIONS: Step 1) Get comfortable walking up to the object and placing your chosen hand on top of the object. Step 2) Using a split step approach step your opposite leg up onto the object and place it 3/4 s extended away from your hand. Step 3) Now step your inside leg (it should be on the same side of your body as you hand that is down ex. left hand down, left leg goes through) Step 4) As you move past the object push with your hand (fingers pointing out) and your outside foot away from the object resetting your your chest back to a running split step position. Step 5) Repeat with more speed. Please keep in mind there are many paths that you can take to reach the same destination. In these parkour and freerunning tutorials I will be breaking down the movement the way I know how.
