Today we go inside the exclusion zone and get within a few hundred meters of reactor 4 where the explosion happened. Chernobyl is one of the most interesting and eerie places we have ever been to. It almost feels like stepping back in time. 33 years after the disaster parts of Chernobyl are still highly radioactive, but you can still visit the exclusion zone if you go with a guide who knows the areas to avoid. You can t visit Chernobyl without a tour guide, and we booked our tour through SoloEast.
