Because waxed thread reduced tangles, makes the thread more manageable to bind with and protects it from fraying. Of course, you don t have to wax your thread, it s up to your preference. Do I have to use beeswax? I ve read some people finding success with candle wax, so that is another option. Where can I find beeswax? Some art stores carry it in small to big blocks, or you can find it in the jewelry making section.
