2001-2005 Volkswagen Passat 4Motion, 2.8L. Also certain Audi models use the same transmission setup. **VW/Audi Transmission Range Sensor** https://amzn.to/3GaSz4T The transmission range switch detects the selector lever position when the shift lever is in the N or P shift position and sends a signal to the Transmission Control Module (TCM). The transmission would go into limp mode when shifting into reverse from Park. OBDII testing showed trouble code P0706, and Vag-com confirmed the sensor issue. The TCM was not receiving the correct input from the range sensor also called a (neutral switch). In this video I show the steps involved installing a new switch.
