Safety Concern at the Off Grid Log Cabin in the Forest
#selfreliance #offgrid #LogCabin There are at least three dangerous trees standing near the cabin, and I finally cut them down for firewood and construction building materials, before they fall on their own and injure Cali, our Golden Retriever, or one of us. The huge sugar maple that stands over the bear/wolf crossing dam is one of the biggest and oldest on the property and it s been dead for a few years. The other tree was a yellow birch that I should have cut down last year when I first discovered it, with the iconic piece of chaga high up on the trunk. Ironically, soon after I cut these trees down, a wild storm blew through, spawning tornadoes east of here, and the potential for these trees to be blown over was high. Thanks for watching!
