More exploring abandoned places! I teamed up with my friend Mariel de Viaje to visit some of the less known attractions in Chapultepec Park in Mexico City. This forest is huge. One of the biggest city parks in the Western Hemisphere, and has many many secrets. I had heard about the abandoned train station from before. Officially called "El Tren Panoramico de Chapultepec" it was abandoned in 2006 for unknown reasons. There are stories that there was an accident, there are also stories there was budget issues. Either way, these trains are just sitting there, rusting next to the highway very close to the Museum of Natural History. There is no fence, no signs, anyone can walk down and see them. That being said, we tried that. 2 guards approached us and said we needed a permit to be there, and that wild dogs would attack us if we came back. So naturally, we rescheduled our visit for sunrise, to visit again. It worked. The train station was creepy enough, not the most terrifying of all my urban exploration, but I couldn t deny it. What made the experience even more spooky was the pile of chicken heads on a burnt piece of grass, and the chicken organ next to the cross and saint inside. Why was there here? The guard related it to the dogs, but we didn t see any. Also, none of the heads were chewed. It definitely doesn t explain the organs next to the photo inside either. Strange stuff. We made jokes about a Satanic Ritual, and summoning daemons from the underworld. Who knows though, something about it didn t add up. To me, It definitely looked like a sacrifice. A big thank you to Mariel s Husband Adrian as well, he helped us a lot these days! Hope you enjoyed the video.
