Laura Sugden and Shane Gilmer lived in a quaint village in Yorkshire. However, life in suburbia wasn’t all that it seemed. Following a year-long feud their neighbour, Anthony Lawrence broke into their home undetected with a crossbow. In an attack that can only be likened to a horror film, both Shane and Laura - who was 20 weeks pregnant at the time - were shot. And although Laura miraculously managed to escape, Shane tragically lost his life.
