Five-hundred migrants trying to escape poverty and violence in their country attempted to cross the border at San Ysidro Port near San Diego. Border patrol agents claimed that after the migrants were denied entry, they began to throw rocks – at which point the agents opened fire with tear gas and rubber bullets.
