Moorsele, Belgium, 18 june 2015 A team of 51 international wingsuit skydivers from 14 nations, selected by skill and experience for being some of best in the world, managed to set (and break) the worlds 1st record for largest wingsuit formation with the FAI (Federation Aeronautique Internationale). Based on selection of the best pilots within the group, after 6 jumps from 15.000 ft, we arrived at a 33 person formation, fitting the new set standard of FAI. Each wingsuit pilot must fit a predeterminated position and allignment relative to each other pilot in the formation, with the distance set by an even spaced grid. The skill within the group of pilots was so high, that on the 6th dive with 33 people, we set a new world record, during sunset, on day one of the attempts. Then day two saw an expanded group of wingsuit pilots going up again to try and better the record, something which they succeeded doing in only 3 amazing dives, setting the number to 42, and then retiring from jumping to celebrate. On site judges from FAI approved the record, with each person within the formation being a valid member of the organization as well, for validation purposes. From the organisers and cameramen, we would like to congratulate all participants with their achieved world record.
