Wilderness Living, Catch and Cook Whitefish, Trout & Wild Turkey on a Campfire
This is a first for me - catching a species of fish for the first time in a place not well known for them. Jim Baird, winner of History s Alone, and I head deep into Algonquin Park to chase brook trout and lake trout but end up with two additional species that we did not expect to find where we did. This was my first time ever catching this type of fish and it was incredible cooked on a rock over the campfire and was even better the following day fried on a cast iron skillet. Along with the fish on the fire, we roasted a turkey let from the wild turkey I harvested earlier in the week.
