SpaceX Crew-5 Dragon trunk creates spectacular fireball during re-entry, skywatchers see it

A fireball was spotted by several skywatchers in the United States on April 27, 2023 and reported to the American Meteor Society (AMS). The fireworks were created by the re-entry of SpaceX s Crew-5 Dragon s trunk that was jettisoned prior to the spacecraft s return to Earth.
