In this third video in the log cabin series, I clear the cabin site of trees and underbrush, move two large cedars into place for foundation logs and make a hot lunch on my new bushbuddy stove. On the first two days, the temperatures is cold, less than -20C with windchill. On the third day, the temperature rises to a few degrees above freezing and I have to remove layers to stay cool while working. The trout stream is opening up and there are rabbits running around everywhere, eating the tops of the trees as I cut them down. I have now spent 23 hours on the log cabin, most of that time spent cutting down trees, trimming branches and cutting the trees into logs for the cabin.
