"It s AIMED At Pre-Schoolers!" - Julia Hartley-Brewer BLASTS Nursery Pride Book Featuring Bondage

A couple removed their daughter from nursery school after she was shown images of bondage in a children’s book on Pride. Will and Maria Taylor, from Hull, did not notice the images at first but after another parent flagged the content to them the couple decided to take matters up with staff at Genesis Pre-School in Hull. Being unsatisfied by the response from staff, they decided to pull their four-year-old daughter out of the pre-school. The book, ‘Grandad’s Pride’, was written and illustrated by Harry Woodgate and includes a depiction of two men kissing at a Pride parade while dressed in black leather gear. Director of Advocacy at Sex Matters, Helen Joyce and Julia Hartley-Brewer discuss the controversial book. Julia says: “It s clearly sexualised imagery aimed at pre-school children.
