El Gigante Peanut Butter Jelly Bacon Hamburger Challenge!!

A&Z #1069 - Professional eater Randy Santel versus The Pennant s El Gigante Peanut Butter and Jelly Bacon Hamburger Challenge w/ poutine fries hosted by The Pennant in downtown Topeka, Kansas!! I finished up my dietetic internship on May 19th, 2022 and @KatinaEatsKilos and I knew we were leaving for Dublin, Ireland on June 7, 2022 to begin our international travel plans. Before leaving, we wanted to attempt 12 food challenges around 6 midwestern USA states. For event #4 of 12, we headed to downtown Topeka, Kansas which is the state capital of Kansas. Katina and I attempted and were hoping to become the 2nd and 3rd people to win the newer "El Gigante" Peanut Butter and Jelly Bacon Hamburger Challenge w/ poutine fries at The Pennant which was absolutely delicious!! I went first and had just 30 minutes to feast on a 3.5lb juicy beef burger patty topped with 8 thick-cut slices of bacon plus lots of Thai peanut sauce, and wild berry jam, all on a football shaped bread bun served with an order of poutine fries covered with brown gravy and melted cheese. I enjoyed one of their (optional) delicious signature deluxe milkshakes along the way and also a Happy Basset IPA by Happy Basset Brewing Co (also optional). I was trying to win a sweet t-shirt and the 2nd spot up on The Pennant s Wall of Fame!! BIG thanks to everyone with The Pennant Topeka for the wonderful food, drinks, and hospitality!! Come for the great food and drinks, stay to play! - This "El Gigante" has a 30 minute time limit to finish a gigantic burger served with some fries. - There is a giant 3.5lb beef burger patty topped with 8 thick-cut strips of bacon plus a Thai peanut sauce and lots of wild berry jam. It s all placed on a football-shaped bun. The challenge includes an order of French fries. The poutine gravy and cheese I added were both optional. - This is a pay-to-play food challenge. Everyone pays $50 for the hamburger meal. Winners get a sweet t-shirt and spot on the Wall of Fame. Losers get a shirt proclaiming they failed and a picture posted on the Wall of Shame.
