FOSSILIZED BEASTS Between 11 and 12 million years ago, the Texas Coastal Plain was filled with huge, exotic animals unlike anything seen today in North America, including rhinos, antelopes with horns like a slingshot, and even camels. A team of archaeologists found her remains near the country’s Caribbean coastline just a few years ago. This was a rare surprise, as human remains typically do not remain intact in the tropical region. #archaeologicaldiscoveries #ancientartifacts #strangediscoveries #originsexplained
