-Keep in mind certain food should be avoided during your birds hormonal breeding months -Change things up with fresh in season vegetables and fruits (parrot safe ingredients of course) -Some birds can be picky. Try leaving food in whole form such as chunks or finely diced, as some prefer to hold their food and some eat over the bowl. -Always clean your fruits and vegetables to remove dirt and any chemicals that may have been sprayed on. -Some food should be offered sparingly CAPSICUM: High in nutrients such as Vitamin C, Vitamin A and fiber. Low sugar and caloric intake. DONT LET YOU BIRD HAVE THE STEM it is toxic. CORN: The sugar content is natural and limited so your bird can enjoy in moderation. It s rich in vitamins, antioxidants, minerals and fiber. CARROTS: Another vitamin rich food. It has high levels of beta-carotene supporting optimal eye health. BLUEBERRIES: Vitamin C, B6, A, Potassium, Magnesium and Antioxidants. All wonderful things but served in moderation GRAPES: A hit with many birds. Sweet to the taste but contain a rather high level of fructose. So a quick energy boost.- feed sparingly SUGER SNAP PEAS: Crunchy texture and rich flavor BROCCOLI: Consuming raw broccoli offers more Vitamin A and D over boiling. Broccoli leaves provide a ton of Vitamin A & C so if you birds will eat it that s fantastic! APPLES: High in sugar so should be fed in moderation. Packed with antioxidants & fiber and low in calories. CHIA SEEDS: Nutritional benefits are protein, fiber, fat, calcium, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus and most importantly Omega-3 fatty acids.
