Hi everyone! In this video I’ll show you how to sew this chanel-inspired, delicately elegant A-line dress with the cutest short sleeves & the prettiest square neckline :) I’m using my Chantelle PDF downloadable sewing pattern, get it here: https://dressmakingamore.com/products/chantellepattern (Watch the second part of the tutorial here: https://youtu.be/_SFhPVmcvLQ) Here are the materials you’ll need: - 1.7-2.15 m (1.85-2.35 yds) light-medium weight woven fabric - 1.7-2.15 m (1.85-2.35 yds) lining fabric - 0.5 m (0.6 yds) interfacing for a partially interfaced dress, or 1.7-2.15 m (1.85-2.35 yds) for a fully interfaced dress - Invisible zipper 56-60 cm (22”-24”) long - Zipper machine foot for invisible zipper - matching thread - glasshead pins - scissors - measurement tape - Chantelle pattern I recommend using a woven medium-weight fabric that holds its shape and doesn’t stretch, and isn’t see-through. This is something like a suiting fabric, chenille twee, boucle tweed, and poplin. For the lining, use something like a viscose or a poly fabric. Hi everyone! In this video I’m so excited to show you how to sew these elegant and classy pants :) This has been a ~very~ highly requested pattern + sewing tutorial, so I am so happy to present this to you today 🥰 I’m using my Darcy PDF downloadable sewing pattern, get it here: https://dressmakingamore.com/products/darcypantspattern Here are the materials you’ll need: - 1.75-2.3 m (1.9-2.5 yds) of woven fabric - Fusible interfacing for the waistband and pocket - Fly zipper, 23 cm long, 9” - One-sided zipper foot - marking tool - closure: button or eye&hook - matching thread - glasshead pins - scissors - measurement tape - Darcy pattern For these pants here I am using a tercel twill fabric. It’s quite lightweight while still having a heaviness to it that helps keep the right fit of the pants. However, I have made these pants with a Crepe fabric - and I prefer that a bit more because of how it looks after multiple washes. Hi! In this quick video, I wanted to show you how I easily and quickly update my ironing board so that it s always ready to use. This is a method that takes me just a few minutes and lasts about 1-2 weeks. This isn t a permanent cover, as I change it quite often, but this is how I prefer to do it in my work :) I like to use a sleeve ironing board because it s a little more convenient. Here are two different ones: https://amzn.to/3nFVOXk https://amzn.to/3ONpmOV And more pressing tools I use: Full length, adjustable ironing board: https://amzn.to/3aoun1f Iron: https://amzn.to/3nDvRId Wooden Tailor s Clapper: https://amzn.to/3NKrmGf Steamer: https://amzn.to/3bMFGkd (affiliate links included) #sewing #dressmakingamore #sewinghacks ———————————————————————— 👉🏻 Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/dressmakingamore/ 👉🏻 My Sewing Patterns - https://dressmakingamore.com/ 👉🏻 My sewing patterns on Etsy - https://www.etsy.com/shop/DressmakingAmore 👉🏻 TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@dressmakingamore ————————————————————————

Hi everyone! An absolutely perfect elegant dress for summer, this dream of a design can be figure accentuating and charmingly flowy at the same time - and the classic crew neckline with comfy elastic-hemmed long sleeves make this Poppy dress one of my wardrobe favorites - and I know you ll love it too :) I’m using my Poppy PDF downloadable sewing pattern, get it here: https://dressmakingamore.com/products/poppypattern Here are the materials you’ll need: - 3.5-4.2 m (3.85-4.6 yds) light-medium weight woven fabric - 40-50 cm (16”-20”) elastic 5 mm (1/4”) wide - loop turner tool - matching thread - glasshead pins - scissors - measurement tape - Poppy pattern I am using this beautiful poppy-print chiffon fabric for that light, perfectly-draping look.
