DIY Chanel-Inspired Mini Dress with Square-Neckline & No Waist Seams + Sewing Pattern
Hi everyone! In this video I’ll show you how to sew this chanel-inspired, delicately elegant A-line dress with the cutest short sleeves & the prettiest square neckline :) I’m using my Chantelle PDF downloadable sewing pattern, get it here: https://dressmakingamore.com/products/chantellepattern (Watch the second part of the tutorial here: https://youtu.be/_SFhPVmcvLQ) Here are the materials you’ll need: - 1.7-2.15 m (1.85-2.35 yds) light-medium weight woven fabric - 1.7-2.15 m (1.85-2.35 yds) lining fabric - 0.5 m (0.6 yds) interfacing for a partially interfaced dress, or 1.7-2.15 m (1.85-2.35 yds) for a fully interfaced dress - Invisible zipper 56-60 cm (22”-24”) long - Zipper machine foot for invisible zipper - matching thread - glasshead pins - scissors - measurement tape - Chantelle pattern I recommend using a woven medium-weight fabric that holds its shape and doesn’t stretch, and isn’t see-through. This is something like a suiting fabric, chenille twee, boucle tweed, and poplin. For the lining, use something like a viscose or a poly fabric.
