We visited one of our favorite bird rescues, Ronie s For the Love of Birds, and let my 7yr old daughter pick out a bird she wanted to work with and train for the two days we were visiting. She picked out Snipey the pineapple cheek conure, a female bird whose age is unknown but was surrendered to the rescue for biting her previous owners.
