Grooming an alaskan malamute is a job in itself. Imagine having 3 of them, well 2.5 if you include Phil having alopecia, he doesn t really shed. Milo makes up for Phil s loss though he s probably the worst of them for all the size of him! Niko is very good at being groomed, it must feel better to get rid of some of that weight and unnecessary fluff! It takes a good few hours of work, some decent tools in your arsenal and preferably a big hard surface floor space. People ask why I don t do it outside, for one it s currently about 3 degrees celcius in winter here, it s extremly windy where we live in the countryside not to mention the almost continuous rain. It s more comfortable for us all to do it inside. We keep the fur in bags now we have the space so we will put it out for the birds to build nests soon. Teddy likes to play a game when you groom him you have to chase him around while he barks howls and bites the brush! So much fun haha
