This is a 2003 Pontiac Vibe with a 1.8L Toyota engine. The customer replaced the spark plugs, ignition coils, MAF sensor and other components in an unsuccessful attempt at fixing this misfire. I decided this would make a great case study for my class at Rosedale Technical College and for you, my YouTube students! In this video I am showing how to do a fuel injector cleaning service in an attempt to fix the injector flow problems revealed in part 1. I was unsuccessful in this case and from my experience, injector replacement is the only fix for these types of issues. Engine Performance Diagnostics chapter 18 page 26 Symptoms - rough idle - misfire - check engine light (P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304) Fix - replace restricted injectors Tests shown - how to perform an injector balance test - how to clean fuel injectors Tools used - fuel injector cleaning kit - fuel pressure gauge (test kit) - fuel injector balance tester (timer tool) Playlist - (Chapters 17, 18 and 19) Fuel Injector Testing https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAFYVCyenqcoYm94zK0-EP0ICsGWj_ICs Related videos - How to identify injector flow problems (Toyota 1.8L) part 1 https://youtu.be/ZnFSUNjwDPQ - How to test a fuel injector for flow problems (GM) https://youtu.be/K7STocr9FBI - Fuel injector flow testing (a free ScannerDanner Premium video) https://youtu.be/levTV3XM7sI - Misfire from restricted injectors - Chevy Prism (Toyota 1.8L) part 1 https://youtu.be/pv9R2IEG4mU - Misfire from restricted injectors - Chevy Prism (Toyota 1.8L) part 2 https://youtu.be/Q6lRNG5NdQU For more information on this topic, I have written a “field manual” called Engine Performance Diagnostics which is available at www.scannerdanner.com as an eBook or paper book.
