Watch this deep shoulder stretch flow to bring more balance into this area of the body and promote healing and strength. We’ll follow with some spiral motions - one side at a time. There’s no wrong way to do this! Just melt into the flow and see what feels good in this moment for YOU. Next up is puppy pose! Many people confuse this with child’s pose, but the big difference is to keep the hips right over the knees rather than bending your seat back toward your heels. Once you’re comfortable, let your heart melt towards the floor. If you want a more intense stretch, engage your core by pulling your navel towards the ceiling and knitting your ribs together! Remember - throughout the practice, you want to experience a lot of sensation, but sensation you can breathe into. When we arrive in downward dog, notice how shoulders feel. If you’re someone with especially tight shoulders, rotate your palms to the sides of your mat to create more space in this area. We’ll end with reverse namaste (palms together over the heart - but behind you!) The internal rotation here is so great for the wrists as well as the shoulders.
