Arizona is also known as the Grand Canyon State due to the fact that it is home to the Grand Canyon National Park. Its name is a Spanish version of the Pima Indian word arizonac for "place of the small spring" or from the Aztec s arizuma meaning "silver-bearing". The Grand Canyon National Park is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, and the only one located within the United States.
