The bushcraft saxon house series continues! This time I work on building a medieval style window using traditional wood pegs and wedges - no nails! From the tree being cut, to hewing the log and burning it using the ancient Japanese wood preserving technique known as Shou Sugi Ban. Then using a hand auger to make the holes and wood pegs and wedges to secure the wood together. No power tools needed! Next will be to make the hinges for the window shutter. Then onto the saxon house door and the interior of the medieval saxon house. Thanks for watching! Please subscribe if you enjoyed it.
