Join me in this JUICY 30 minute hatha flow for some serious hip-opening yoga stretches. I designed this yoga class to bring dynamic movement to the hips, making the stretches safer and more powerful. We begin on the ground with some cat/cow stretches and a super juicy dynamic hip stretch to really get the hip area warmed up. Then we move into a low lunge and runner s stretch with a twist, targeting the legs, hips, spine and neck all at once. As we move into standing positions, we hold for a few breaths in extended side angle pose and then triangle pose. This helps stretch the sides of the body, opening up the psoas and hip flexors. Next, we drop down into a wide squat to really get into the hips even more. Before moving back to the ground, we drop into a yogi squat, then move to our backs for some figure 4 stretches. After a few spinal twists, we come into savasana to allow the heating and opening practice to take shape.
