Interior Design – A Bright Mid-Century Modern Home
See how designer Carly Nemtean of Carriage Lane Designs transformed a ’70s-style bungalow into a bright open-concept home. Tour the mid-century modern space with soaring ceilings, sleek finishes and floods of natural light. To start, the designer created a new, functional layout for the space. Carly relocated the kitchen next to the dining room to take advantage of additional storage, and installed flat-panelled white cabinets. White lighting pendants that hover over the elongated kitchen island and stainless steel appliances complete the clean, crisp look. The neighboring dining room is decorated with a monochromatic palette of greys, black and walnut, with pops of blue. The family room is sophisticated and glamorous. Pieces like a deep blue sofa, geometric coffee table and knitted floor poufs create a stylish and liveable space.
