Hello, I’m Emilie. Here’s my video of dad playing piano for wild macaques that live in an abandoned cinema in Lopburi, Thailand. It’s the second in our blog series “Music for Monkeys" and part of my homeschool activities. About the macaques in the abandoned cinema: Many years ago, Khun Aye, a native of Lopburi, Thailand, had dream to build a cinema in her hometown. It was a big success with the locals - but only for a short time as the macaques that live at the “Monkey Temple” next door liked her cinema and collectively took control of it. They were so well organized and determined, the owner, outnumbered, had no choice but to abandon her business and just let the macaques take it over as they wished to.
