Designer Natalie Chong shares how she created a handsome, cozy bedroom for her brother-in-law on a $2,000 budget. Watch the small rental space come to life with paint, hardworking furniture and layers of texture. Plus, get her tips for painting a statement wall! The original space was bare, with crooked blinds and zero personality. Natalie started by bringing in pieces that would maximize storage, including a bed frame with drawers. To warm up the space, she swapped out the blinds for drapes and brought in texture through the duvet cover and pillows. The wall behind the bed was painted a statement-making dark green to complement the plaid bedding. Natalie used floating side tables to keep the space open.
