A business owner has refused to shut up shop during England’s second coronavirus lockdown, saying the rules were a “complete injustice” for small businesses. Lydia Walker-Cox co-owns Grace Cards & Books in Worcestershire, which has been threatened with closure by the police and local council, who say legislation must be complied with. Speaking with talkRADIO’s Mike Graham, Ms Walker-Cox said: “We’re standing not just for ourselves but for all small businesses out there.” She added: “We were told to spend hundreds and hundreds of pounds making our shops Covid-secure…and then they pull the rug out from under our feet and tell us we have to be shut.”
