WE LOVE FOOD! So here, we re listing down what you guys should eat and try in the beautiful capital of Vietnam — Hanoi! And it doesn t end at this video, we have a list of 31 LOCAL-APPROVED PLACES TO EAT in Hanoi here: https://thetravelintern.com/where-to-eat-in-hanoi/ 1) Banh Gio (Pyramidal Dumpling) 00:16 - Banh Gio It s like a burst of flavours in your mouth when you take the first bite with all the ingredients in one scoop! 2) Bun Cha (Grilled Pork and Noodle) 00:26 - Banh Gio This dish was one of the team s FAVOURITE!!!! It s like perfectly cooked (and tender) slices of pork soaked in sweet broth, paired with noodles on the side. YUM~ 3) Banh Cuon (Steamed Rice Rolls) 00:31 - Banh Cuon Nong Ho Tay If you like soon kueh from Singapore, you ll definitely be a fan of this dish too! And the aunty prepares it to order, meaning it s always gonna be super fresh! 4) Che Xoai (Mango Dessert) 00:57 - Minci Puddings It might look like a small bowl, but this lil bowl PACKS A PUNCH! Super sweet mango in super sweet milk and pudding, super yummy~ 5) Cafe Trung (Egg Coffee) 01:05 - Giang Cafe Of course, if you re in Vietnam, you HAVE to get their famous egg coffee! I thought it was going to be SUPER EGGY at first, but actually it just makes the coffee really thick and frothy! 6) Bun-Mien Ngan (Rice Noodles & Muscovy Duck) 01:15 - Hanh Ngan De If it s not Bun Cha, it s BUN-MIEN NGAN! This dish was spectacular, and we are NOT hyping it up. The duck portion is so generous, and we highly recommend the dry version of this dish! (Also, if you want even more duck, we recommend getting a side of grilled duck too) 7) Mi Ga Tan (Herbal Chicken Noodles) 01:30 - Mi Ga Tan This place was recommended to us by a local, and it was a local experience indeed! Forget the fancy restaurants or cafes, this was where it s at — Having a yummy savoury bowl of herbal chicken noodles along the street, huddling beside other customers. 8) Kem Trai Dua (Coconut Ice Cream) 01:39 - 17 To Tich Hoa Beo Now it s time for your sweet tooth. After you finish that mountainous portion of coconut ice cream, you ll be pleasantly surprised to find that the coconut itself has lotsa meat left for you to scrape out and eat! 9) Sua Chua Nep Cam (Sticky Rice Yoghurt) 01:48 - 17 To Tich Hoa Beo It s kinda like Pulut Hitam, but sweeter and thicker. This was actually our fave out of all the desserts~ 10) Caramen Mit (Jack Fruit Caramel) 01:53 - 17 To Tich Hoa Beo Caramel Flan Pudding, along with sticky rice and jack fruit. Might sound a bit much, but trust us, it is anything but much. Do you guys have your own secret food go-tos or even your favourite food places in Hanoi? Let us know!
