She first started travelling solo after an Asia Youth Camp in Bangkok, and has been on seven solo trips thus far. She was heavily inspired by Calvin Young, a deaf American youth who travels solo as well. Mairah believes that being deaf should never be an excuse to stop herself from travelling. Her aspiration is to become a full-time traveller, along with photography, to inspire the deaf community to travel. She also hopes to spread awareness through travel to the hearing community and the rest of the world. Connect with her!
