The return of serve is one of the most important shots in tennis. Jeff Salzenstein performs a comprehensive analysis of Andrey Rublev’s return, where he shares a five-step formula to upgrade your tennis forehand return of serve technique. Chapters: 00:00 Intro- Andey Rublev Forehand Return 00:40 Forehand Return UPGRADE (5 Steps) 01:54 Ready position on the return of serve 3:54 Backswing on the tennis forehand return of serve 4:30 Return of serve contact point 5:41 Return of serve finish 9:05 More from Tennis Evolution and Link for FREE MEMBERSHIP First, Andrey Rublev holds a tennis forehand grip, has his off hand on the throat of the racquet, and keeps his racquet tip up on his ready position. Consequently, he can make a solid first move. Second, Rublev keeps his racquet tip up, elbow away from the body, off arm pulled across his body, and an athletic posture. Third, Andrey keeps his racquet on the hitting side during the backswing. Fourth, Rublev greatly extends his arm towards the target on his forehand return of serve. Moreover, Andrey keeps his body stable instead of overrotating. He also uses his off hand to keep amazing balance. Fifth, Rublev has a very compact swing. He turns out his hand, gets the strings facing towards the net, and stops his finish right in front of the body. In fact, the faster the ball comes, the shorter that your follow through and finish should be. To summarize, Jeff suggests practicing these five components of the forehand return consistently. As a result, you’ll be able to create massive power on it, break your opponent’s serve more often, and have more fun on the court.
