FOIE GRAS DE TANA (COIN DU FOIE GRAS): Foie Gras ADDRESS: BA 59 Behenjy RN7 Madagascar, Antananarivo 101, Madagascar OPEN: 6AM - 9PM 🦆30 miles outside of Antananarivo is a locally owned and operated restaurant specializing in Malagasy foie gras. The chef slices the duck liver into smaller pieces, season with salt and pepper and saute in oil until it turns a golden brown. Plate, garnish and eat! 💸PRICE: 2 duck livers 12 USD/45,000 MGA ---- 2. FAMILY HOME: Goose ADDRESS: Ambatolampy 🇲🇬 Two hours outside of the capital city Antananarivo lies a small Malagasy village, Ambatolampy. We spent the day with a local family, who live in clay houses they built, on a rice farm which provides food for the family. Any additional rice they have, they sell to make a living. The family of 25 invited us to join them for a family feast of goose.
